After a number of years working for ICI I left to have a family. I then took up a number of voluntary roles in the early years sector culminating in becoming the Leader of a local provider, which I thoroughly enjoyed. In 1994 I took on a role at the Local Authority with a focus on childcare development and over the next 24 years I worked on a number of exciting projects including the establishment of Sure Start Children’s Centres. I enjoyed working in partnership with colleagues, other agencies and professionals to develop services until my retirement in 2018.
I was pleased to be invited to be part of the Board at One IT and it has been a privilege to see the Company’s progress over the years and I continue to be proud of my involvement.
I have a number of interests which include spending time with my family, doing loads of maths puzzles and having lunch out!
